The AMD Labs product line has been formulated to incorporate the concentrations of the antioxidants and minerals which were proven to slow the rate of progression of macular degeneration in the patients that participated in the ARED study.

Currently, people are often overwhelmed by the number of pills they have to take. Most existing vitamin lines require 4 pills to get the antioxidants used in the ARED study, as well as a separate comprehensive multivitamin to cover daily nutritional requirements. AMD labs has combined all the necessary vitamins and minerals used in the ARED study in a comprehensive multivitamin that requires only two small compressed tablets. One is to be taken after breakfast and the other after dinner, just as was done in the ARED study.

Three main products have been created to help prevent the progression of age related macular degeneration. Two multivitamin lines, iRx Complete, and iRx Essentials, and one nutritional supplement specifically for patients with more advanced macular degeneration, iRx Macular Specific. In addition, the iRx Complete line offers special products that have been adjusted to reduce the risks which can be present for certain people, such as those that smoke or those on statin cholesterol lowering drugs.
